About
More than five decades reading the evidence in handwriting
For more than five decades, I have specialised in forensic document examination, handwriting and drawing analysis, behavioural profiling and personal consultation.
My professional career began more than fifty years ago with formal training in handwriting analysis and forensic document examination. I later completed advanced practical training and professional supervision under the late Hanna Koren, founder of the Hanna Koren Institute of Forensic Graphology and one of Israel's leading forensic document examiners at the time.
Before immigrating to South Africa in 1989, I practised professionally in Israel. Since settling in Johannesburg, I have continued practising independently, assisting clients throughout South Africa and internationally.
My work has included matters originating in, or connected with, Israel, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, France, Switzerland, India and Taiwan, in addition to numerous matters throughout South Africa.
In parallel with my forensic work, I have spent more than thirty-five years assisting private clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves through handwriting and drawing analysis, carefully guided discussion and personal consultation.
Throughout my career, I have appeared regularly on radio and television discussing handwriting analysis, drawing interpretation, behavioural patterns and questioned document examination. Following many of these programmes, members of the public contacted me for assistance with personal, relationship, family and emotional difficulties. This gradually developed into an important and highly rewarding part of my professional practice.
My objective has always remained the same: to help clients understand not only the conclusions I reach, but also the observations, evidence and reasoning on which those conclusions are based.
Documents I have examined
Over the years, I have examined thousands of questioned documents involving:
- Wills
- Contracts and agreements
- Financial documents
- Anonymous letters and writings
- Employment disputes
- Fraud investigations
- Family disputes
- Commercial litigation
My expert reports have been used in courts, arbitration proceedings, disciplinary hearings and matters before the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).

Among other professional appointments, I have been recommended by the Nelson Mandela Foundation in matters concerning the authentication of Nelson Mandela's signature.
